Well I'm back in the big city, third time this summer! I'm only here til Saturday morning when I have a flight booked to St Johns, Newfoundland. I decided Newfoundland was my favourite place so far and although they have the highest unemployment rate in Canada, surely someone will hire me?

I spent a great few days in Montreal, firstly in a super-hippy communal hostel with beds in every place they could fit them (including outside under carports and inside a combie van), and then in An-Ling's flat with her anally retentive roommate (I won't bitch about it cause I'm better than that, and also I've already bitched enough!). Caught up with An-Ling, Veronique, Mathieu, Philippe and also the Lisas, which was great. I also had fantastic poutine, which is essential to any trip to Quebec.

The overnight bus ride down from Montreal was torturous. Normally I don't mind bus rides but the random guy next to me kept leaning on me in his sleep, which is fine if you know the person but creepy if you don't. We had a stop in Kingston, but I think I would have preferred it if we'd just kept going. I arrived early and it was still dark, which was a little creepy. I walked what turned out to be quite a long way to Darren's lugging my backpack and was completely shattered by the time I got there. After some sleep, food, shower, coffee and music videos I feel much revived and ready to take on the world again!
