Abandonment and Redirection - 10082005 |
What's going on with Wendy? ... ? 150920042331 Pleasant Bay, Nova Scotia, Mollusc of Love There was to be no whale watching today, unfortunately! It was too windy for both kayaking and whale watching so we went for a walk along Skyline which is a huge ridge/mountain with a wicked view of the ocean. On the way there we saw three more moose on the path - one mother and calf pair and another little one on it's own (the mother walked right across the track we were walking on). On the way back from looking at the vast ocean view and nearly being blown off the path in the strong winds I ran into Cam who I met in Vancouver. So strange! We had a bit of a quick catch up and then I tried to get over the randomness. Had a wicked lunch and then went down to be disappointed by the lack of kayaking. We went to a beach instead and Meg and I went swimming for nearly an hour. The water was initially really cold but after a while it was beautiful. I got a lot of sun today but I think it was because of the reflection from the water. We had some yummy scrummy Scotsburn ice cream and then said goodbye to Audrey and Clyde, the Mennonite couple who were on their honeymoon. Clyde was the winner of Moose Lotto so the tour driver bought him an ice cream. I've never met Mennonites before, let alone seen them travelling. They were completely cute and were wearing matching gingham outfits on the first day. We bought four dozen oysters on the way home and had them for an appetiser. Dinner was pasta, salad and garlic bread which I did on the barbecue cause the oven didn't work. We went out to a campground and had s'mores while I impressed everyone with my stunning poi abilities (I am a superstar). I heard from a little bird that Kelly and Glenn have recently been engaged - so congratulations! Not for me but I'm sure you all realise that. I've linked my old guestbook so just ignore the entries before 2002! Take a peek Sign it already
