Catchup attempt #1 - Edinburgh and Toronto

I still need to catch up on what I did in Edinburgh, so I'm going to write this next bit in three entries so I can cover Edinburgh, Pictou and the beginning of the tour today.

As expected, I can't remember day by day what I did in my last week or so in Edinburgh, and even though it's only a couple of weeks ago now, it's a whole nother country, continent, time zone, world, life.

So I basically spent it partying and other festival-related outings. I played a lot of pool, once I had gotten used to the small balls again, and I'm actually pretty good by now (for a girl) if I do say so myself. I will have to say that Josh did pants me (not literally, since I didn't know what I was wearing that day) but that was not the norm!

The conchords show was totally wicked, as expected, and I saw them for a third time at the Phat Cave, where I danced til 5am after the comics were done (was inches from having Sally make me grab Jemaine Clement's arse while dancing). I said goodbye to a lot of new friends, but it is a changeover time of year.

I have a feeling I've written about all this before, but maybe it was just my imagination. I saw a gig by a group called the Magnets who are basically a boy band but their backup track is done completely live by vocalists. Not explaining very well. There's 6 guys, 4 of whom sing, one who beatboxes (total genius) and one who does the bass beat. One of the singers also does noises for mixing desk and string instruments. Although if I didn't know it was all vocal it would have been reasonably ordinary, they worked the crowd really well and the percussion section was mindblowing. I went to the pub after that to catch up with BJ (back from Iraq), and then there was the above mentioned Phat Cave gig.

[The rest of this entry I'm going to complete later since I just rememebered that I'm not going crazy and I wrote an entry in my physical journal which I will transfer. There is a retarded story about me losing my wallet which needs to be told to the public.]
