Typically I have still been sleeping in way too much ...

I went to a beginner's salsa class on Monday night with An Ling and some of her friends, which was fun and semi-successful. I'm still not a hundred percent on the footwork, but that was to be expected. I went out for more salsa tonight but it was a different club, different vibe, not really my thing (a lot of neon lights, expensive drinks and loads of seedy looking guys). May not do that again.

Tuesday night I went out with a bunch of people from the hostel to a student bar that was playing retro music and had super cheap beer. Naturally everyone else got toasted ... I still had fun!

I went to Schwarz's for smoked meat sandwiches with Philippe on Wednesday which was everything it was hyped as. Complete experience (long lines of people waiting outside, semi-seedy inside, make you eat as fast as you can and get out). We sat at the counter and watched the whole smoked meat thing happen (Montreal is famous for it if you're wondering why I'm talking about meat). Afterwards we went out for coffee and then more fireworks. The display was awesome but there was no wind to take the smoke away, so a lot of it was a bit obscured.

Tomorrow I hope to get out of bed before noon, but we'll see if it happens ...
