Just about to head out again to a summer camp up north a wee bit. Had a bit of a sailing accident in the middle of the St Lawrence a couple of days ago, but asides from a couple of dunkings, a large bruise, a couple of cuts and $500 loss of equipment, Aly and I are fine. We lost steerage and tipped a couple of times though. Her dad had to come out and rescue us too.

Yesterday we decided to go on an adventure to the US of A. We went down over the bridge to NY state and were assisted by a couple of very helpful tourist office ladies and a bit of a stupid American immigration man ("New Zealand?? Mozambique?? What is that on your wrist?? (My watch, moron)). We ended up going to Lake Placid and to the top of White Face Mountain in the Adirondacks, via every hick town we could find. I nearly got food poisoning at Cranberry Lake, we had Mexican til we couldn't move at Potsdam, and we went through towns like Canton, Flackville and Great Bend. I also got to drive on the right (wrong) side of the road, it was very exciting.
