Damn not being able to access the internet on my last day! I think they suspected that I was going to try and scam them somehow. Why would I do that?

I'm all alone today too, which would normally be fine, but where is my phone call to at least say goodbye to me? Where are my presents? Actually, the lecturers bought me a HUGE bunch of lilies to say thank you for all my hard work. I don't know how I'm going to get them home, let alone what I'm going to do with them when I get there. But it's very well appreciated. I got them Swiss chocolates so it's only fair.

Also, since it's my last day, it's probably going to mean that updates will be fewer and further between, as I am rather loathe to pay extortionate prices for internet facilities. I have free WAP at the moment though, so I will be able to write short and random emails as long as the connection works okay.

Yesterday was a great day, and despite not having had any sleep, I was very coherent overall. It was payday, my second to last day, I got a beautiful Celtic pewter jewellery box from my boss, Amy came home, got to see

The Roods (Celtic-ish sort of band) live, and Farrah told me that I could start work officially as a staff member at the hostel on Monday. Despite what I have said in the past about never wanting to be on staff, it works out much to my advantage at the moment as I won't have to clean toilets, get "paid" more (as rent is very expensive in August) and I get free breakfast.

Woohoo!

Alyson left for home this morning, bestowing upon me her brick of a mobile phone to sell to some poor unsuspecting backpacker. I am hoping I get to see her again in a few short weeks.

So now that I'm on staff at the hostel, things will hopefully be fine. I actually have enough money for once, but of course will still be a budget queen.
