Well I'm like 3 days into the festival and have already seen 10 shows. It's exhausting being so culturally active!

I actually have to pay for internet now so that's why it's been so long. The only reason I'm actually on is so that I can check out flight prices etc as I got my passport back!! Yay!! Although they kept a very important letter that I need to get back. Oh well. Another strongly worded letter will be on it's way soon.

Things are going really really well - I've seen a bunch of shows for free and the ones I've paid for have been wicked. I saw a group of young American beat poets today (the show was called Def Poetry Jam) and it was amazing. Although you start talking about growing up in a Western culture when you're not, and you've immediately got me interested. That along with being poor, growing up, living post September 11th, being fat ... so many contemporary issues (and a lot of them I can relate to!). The amount of energy and emotion these people had was awesome.

Anyway, having a great time, hopefully will be able to afford to write more soon ...
