Well it’s proper Scottish misting outside which was nice last night when I was on my way home from dancing at a club, but somehow not as attractive when I’m faced with walking home for over an hour in it. It’s not like rain at all – basically the clouds are hanging so low that the water only hits you because you walk into it. So very low visibility, and you still get wet.

I had a wonderful night last night. I went home with no plans except for having to clean the kitchen (yuck yuck yuck), and ended up swapping the kitchen shift for something far easier, learning how to make Spanish omelettes (yum), having dinner with about 10 Spaniards and a Canadian, and then going out dancing for Anna’s birthday.

I somehow slept through my alarm this morning, was mega-late for work (on top of already being late, there were problems with the buses, some guy had to get kicked off and then I had to get off and wait for the next bus), and now I’m here alone due to Annette also sleeping in (and consequently deciding to just have a day off) and Kirsty being in a (hopefully minor) car accident at lunchtime.

I have not much work to do (obviously), a box of garlic breadsticks left over from a party, and a mystery £450 appeared in my bank account today. I hope it’s still there tomorrow so I can see where it came from. I also booked a ticket so I can go to Dublin with Aly to see Bec at the end of the month. It's only for 2 days but it should be fun! I need to remember to tell Ronan ... And I got an email from Marianne today! So this all amounts to me being supremely content, except for the imminent walk home in the rain …
